Find an Obituary

Press Enter to show all options, press Tab go to next option

Whether searching for a loved one or doing genealogy research, looking into local history or shoring up family records, obituaries are invaluable resources to use. Obituaries provide windows into the lives of real people, and many times add context to family narratives. As a service to patrons doing genealogical research, CPPL has compiled and maintains an obituary index.

Option 1: Search Form allowing you to search by the deceased's surname, first name, middle name and date of death by using a search form. With the advanced search option, you may also search by cause of death, date of birth, etc.

Option 2: Basic spreadsheets listing surnames, ages, date of death, and source information.
NOTE: Data from these spreadsheets are being uploaded to option 1, and any necessary corrections from these spreadsheets are being made during the upload process.
