From thrillers to fantasy, digital reading has transformed how libraries connect with their patrons    

As the country gathered to celebrate the year-end holidays, many communities also celebrated their public libraries and how they’ve transformed into innovative community centers offering services that include access to digital books.

To shine a light on readers’ digital habits, Rakuten OverDrive, the leading digital reading platform for libraries, announced the Most Popular Ebooks and Audiobooks from the Library in 2019. This is based on data from over 90 percent of public libraries in the US.
