Friends of the Library, Calcasieu are parish residents who work together to help the Calcasieu Parish Public Library, including all branches and Library To-Go, better serve the community.

  • We strive to enhance and promote the use and enjoyment of the Library, as well as sponsor special programs and activities.
  • We provide supplemental funding for the Library and actively support its policies and procedures.  
  • We are funded by memberships and contributions.
  • We believe that the Library is a vital center of communication that affects the quality and advancement of lifelong learning.

BOOK SALES

Central Library (301 W. Claude St. in Lake Charles)
Sundays (2pm - 4pm) & Tuesdays (10am - 12pm)

Westlake Library (937 Mulberry St.)
Mondays and Thursdays (12 pm - 4 pm)  

Additional book sales - refer to Calendar of Events
Sales may be canceled due to the availability of volunteers. 

OTHER ACTIVITIES

Encourage and contribute gifts, funds, materials and equipment that is not available through the Library's operating budget.

Sponsor children's programs, cultural and literary programs.

Act as advocates for the Library, promoting library services in the community.
